Sixteen Candles

Amidst her sister's impending wedding, Samantha (Molly Ringwald) dreads her 16th birthday. She yearns for Jake (Michael Schoeffling), the older heartthrob, yet fears her innocence might deter him. Meanwhile, she fends off advances from nerdy Ted (Anthony Michael Hall), the only boy seemingly interested in her.
